At Tiny Paw Store, we want you to feel confident and supported when welcoming your new puppy into your family. Every puppy is sold with our 2-Year Health Guarantee, subject to the terms and conditions below.
Our guarantee is designed to provide reasonable protection for qualifying congenital and hereditary health conditions while also recognizing that puppies require proper veterinary care, nutrition, supervision, and responsible ownership.
We guarantee that, to the best of our knowledge and based on the veterinary information available to us at the time of sale, the puppy is not knowingly being sold with a serious congenital or hereditary condition that substantially affects the puppy’s quality of life.
If a licensed veterinarian diagnoses a qualifying congenital or hereditary condition during the guarantee period, Tiny Paw Store will review the veterinary documentation and determine whether the condition qualifies under this guarantee.
Examples of potentially qualifying conditions may include certain serious congenital heart defects, significant congenital abnormalities, or other serious hereditary conditions that substantially affect the puppy’s health or quality of life.
Coverage applies only to conditions that are documented by a licensed veterinarian and that meet the requirements of this guarantee.
Your puppy should receive a veterinary examination as soon as reasonably possible after arrival.
We strongly recommend that you arrange the puppy’s first wellness examination within 72 hours of receiving the puppy.
This examination is important to establish a baseline of the puppy’s health and to identify any immediate medical concerns.
If your veterinarian identifies a significant health concern during this initial examination, please contact Tiny Paw Store promptly and provide the veterinary documentation.
Emergency medical treatment should never be delayed while waiting for a response from Tiny Paw Store.
The guarantee period begins on the date you receive your puppy and continues for two (2) years.
During this period, qualifying congenital or hereditary conditions may be considered for coverage provided that:
The condition is diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian.
The diagnosis is supported by appropriate veterinary documentation.
The condition meets the definition of a covered condition under this guarantee.
The owner has followed reasonable veterinary and care recommendations.
The two-year period does not mean that every illness, injury, infection, or veterinary expense occurring during the puppy’s first two years is covered.
If you believe your puppy has developed a condition that may be covered by this guarantee, please contact Tiny Paw Store as soon as reasonably possible at:
Please provide:
The puppy’s name and purchase information
The date the puppy was received
A written diagnosis from a licensed veterinarian
The date of examination
A description of the diagnosed condition
Relevant medical records and treatment information
The veterinarian’s name and contact information
We may contact the veterinarian, with appropriate authorization, to verify the diagnosis and obtain information reasonably necessary to evaluate the claim.
If a qualifying condition is confirmed and the claim is approved under this guarantee, Tiny Paw Store may provide an appropriate remedy based on the circumstances of the case.
Available remedies may include:
Replacement puppy of comparable value, subject to availability; or
Refund of the original puppy purchase price, subject to the terms of this guarantee; or
Reimbursement of eligible veterinary expenses, where specifically approved by Tiny Paw Store and subject to any applicable reimbursement limit.
The specific remedy will be determined after reviewing the veterinary diagnosis, medical records, circumstances of the condition, and the requirements of this guarantee.
Any remedy provided under this guarantee is intended to resolve the covered claim and does not create an ongoing obligation to reimburse unrelated veterinary expenses.
This guarantee does not cover:
Accidental injuries or trauma
Poisoning or ingestion of harmful substances
Heatstroke or environmental injury
Conditions resulting from neglect, abuse, or improper care
Conditions resulting from failure to follow veterinary recommendations
Illness or injury resulting from unsafe handling or living conditions
Routine veterinary expenses
Vaccinations, routine examinations, grooming, food, supplements, or preventive care
Normal puppy growth and development
Normal adjustment or transition-related stress
Behavioral or training issues
Conditions caused by obesity, overfeeding, or inappropriate nutrition
Conditions resulting from delayed or refused veterinary treatment
Conditions arising after the puppy is exposed to avoidable health risks contrary to veterinary recommendations
Conditions that cannot reasonably be verified through veterinary documentation
Infectious diseases such as parvovirus, distemper, kennel cough, parasites, or other infections may have multiple causes and may be contracted after a puppy leaves our care.
For this reason, these conditions are not automatically covered simply because they occur after purchase.
Where there is credible veterinary evidence that an illness or infection was present or developing before the puppy was transferred to the buyer, Tiny Paw Store may review the circumstances and available veterinary documentation on a case-by-case basis.
Owners are responsible for following their veterinarian’s recommendations regarding vaccination, deworming, isolation, and exposure to other animals.
To help maintain your puppy’s health, you agree to:
Provide appropriate food, clean water, shelter, exercise, and supervision.
Obtain regular veterinary care.
Follow your veterinarian’s vaccination and deworming recommendations.
Follow veterinary instructions for treatment and preventative care.
Provide a safe and appropriate living environment.
Seek prompt veterinary attention if the puppy becomes ill or shows concerning symptoms.
Avoid unnecessary exposure to infectious diseases and unsafe environments, particularly while the puppy is completing its vaccination schedule.
Failure to provide appropriate care may affect eligibility for coverage where the condition is caused or substantially worsened by that failure.
Different breeds can have different health characteristics and risks.
For example, brachycephalic breeds such as French Bulldogs may have increased sensitivity to heat, strenuous exercise, and respiratory stress. Owners of these breeds are expected to follow appropriate veterinary and breed-specific care recommendations.
Breed characteristics do not automatically exclude a condition from consideration. However, conditions resulting from improper care, environmental stress, excessive exertion, overheating, or delayed veterinary treatment may not be covered.
This guarantee:
Applies only to the original purchaser and the specific puppy purchased.
Is not transferable unless Tiny Paw Store agrees otherwise in writing.
Does not constitute pet insurance.
Does not guarantee that the puppy will remain free from illness or injury for two years.
Does not cover every medical condition that may occur during the puppy’s lifetime.
Is subject to verification of the veterinary diagnosis and supporting medical records.
Each claim will be reviewed based on the veterinary documentation and the circumstances surrounding the condition.
Tiny Paw Store may request reasonable additional documentation when necessary to determine whether a condition qualifies under this guarantee.
Nothing in this guarantee prevents an owner from seeking emergency veterinary treatment when medically necessary. The puppy’s health and safety should always come first.
